Nominations are in for the 2019 Board of Trustees election. The nominating period closed April 1. ERS will certify the candidates later this month.
Later this month, you can read the candidates’ statements on the Board election page.
In addition, ERS will mail information with your ballot on May 10.
If you want to hear from the candidates directly or ask them a question, you’ll have an opportunity with the Candidate Forum on May 9.
Watch to hear the candidate’s positions on benefits issues. Please submit questions for the candidates and attend the candidate forum.
The Candidate Forum will be held at the William B. Travis Building at 1701 Congress Ave in Austin, Room 1-111. Time is TBD.
If you can’t attend in person, you can watch online and submit your questions electronically. You can also view the recording of the forum on our website throughout the voting period.
Voting will take place between May 10 and June 14.
In addition to the ballots ERS will mail, a link will be available on the ERS website for online voting. A direct email voting option will be available to every eligible member and retiree with an updated and active email address on file with ERS.
ERS will certify results on July 11.
The new Board member’s term will begin September 1, 2019.
