Optional Add-on Benefits for Former Employees

Optional benefits allow members to select additional health and related benefits at an added cost. Claims and administration costs for these benefits are paid entirely by participants.


Former employees are not eligible for disability insurance.

Former employees can continue their current TexFlex accounts. 

Discount Purchase Program

Former employees do not have access to State discounts on products and services.

Long-term care

At this time, ERS does not offer long-term care insurance.
