Let's Get Started
Thank you for your interest in working at ERS. The helpful tips below will help you complete the application process.
Complete your application
You can attach a resume as supplementary information. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of a completed application. Writing "see resume" in the Summary of Experience box on the form will invalidate your application.
Note: Do not include photographs or information about marital status, children, race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability.
Criminal history checks
ERS conducts criminal history checks through the Texas Department of Public Safety on primary and secondary candidates for a position. In some cases, the agency will conduct fingerprint checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Proof of Selective Service Registration
If you are male and 18 to 25 years of age, an offer of employment is contingent until you present proof on your first day of employment that you are registered with Selective Service System or you are exempt from registration. Online registration and proof of registration is available on the Selective Service System website.
