EyeMed will be the new administrator of State of Texas Vision beginning Sept. 1
On March 1, the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) Board of Trustees awarded the third-party administrator contract for State of Texas Vision to EyeMed Vision Care, LLC. The six-year contract term will begin Sept. 1, 2023.
Employees, retirees and their eligible dependents enrolled in State of Texas Vision do not need to re-enroll because of this transition. Their coverage will transfer to EyeMed automatically on Sept.1, unless they choose to drop coverage. (Employees can drop coverage only during Summer Enrollment or with a qualifying life event. Retirees can drop coverage any time.)
