As a State of Texas employee,  Voluntary AD&D coverage comes with your Basic Term Life and Optional Term Life insurance.

You can also elect Voluntary AD&D coverage for yourself and your eligible dependents. This benefit provides additional protection for you and your family in the event of the employee’s or eligible dependent’s accidental death or certain accidental injuries.

Plan Benefits

  • the minimum coverage available is $10,000 and
  • the maximum coverage available is $200,000.
You cannot convert this coverage into an individual policy if you leave state employment.
