Now that the holidays are over, and we are getting back to a regular routine, it’s a good time to focus on goals and healthy habits. Need a little help getting your health back on track after the holiday season?

The following steps can help you reset your wellness routine and get moving in the right direction.

  1. Schedule your annual wellness checkup. If you haven’t already this plan year, visit your primary care provider (PCP) for a preventive checkup to help find potential medical problems early and improve your health. Although an in-person checkup is the best option, you can do a preventive checkup from the comfort of home using VirtualCheckup® by Catapult Health.
As a HealthSelectSM medical plan participant, you have preventive care, like annual checkups, mammograms and colonoscopies, covered at no additional cost to you when you see an in-network provider. If you are enrolled in the HealthSelect of Texas® plan, you must have a PCP on file with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) before you get your annual checkup. Learn more about selecting a PCP.

  2. Sign up for Buena Vida and earn rewards. Whether you want to reach a fitness goal, improve your mental health or work toward financial wellness, the Buena Vida well-being program can support every part of your well-being. You can also earn rewards for getting your annual wellness checkup and other healthy activities when you participate in the Buena Vida program. Learn more about Buena Vida.

  3. Manage your weight or other health conditions. If your goal is to manage your weight, check out WondrTM and Real Appeal®. These two weight and lifestyle management programs are available to eligible participants as part of your HealthSelect medical plan benefits at no additional cost. Learn more about Wondr and Real Appeal.

Struggling with heart health, back or muscle pain or mental health? Make this the year you make your own health a priority. Learn more about condition management programs like Hello Heart, Hinge Health and Learn to Live.
