You can view a recording of the candidate forum to see how the candidates answered questions on issues related to pension, insurance, and other ERS-administered benefits. You can also visit our Board election webpage to read each candidate’s personal statement about why they want to serve on the ERS Board. Ready to vote? You have three secure and convenient voting options.

  • To vote electronically, visit the voting portal at ERSTXvotes.com or go to the ERS website and click the “VOTE” link on the top center of the page. Electronic voting is the most cost-efficient and saves money for ERS.
  • If you want to vote by mail, return the ballot you received in the prepaid return envelope that came with it.

If you are eligible to vote in the election and did not get a ballot and do not want to vote online or by direct email, you can call and request a paper ballot at (866) 384-9978. You can also send an email to help+ERStx@YESelections.com.

Remember: You can vote by paper ballot OR electronically. Do not submit a paper ballot AND vote electronically. ERS will only count the first vote from you that we receive.

Your vote is important

This is your chance to have a say about who will represent you on the ERS Board. The trustees make important decisions regarding your member benefits such as:

  • designing plans for your health care and pharmacy benefits,
  • selecting third-party administrators of health insurance and other benefit programs and
  • authorizing new programs.

The Board also manages the Texa$averSM 401(k) / 457 Program and oversees the ERS Retirement Trust Fund, which invests state, agency and member pension contributions.
